Description en-US:  Forensics I is a two-semester course which will provide students with an understanding of the dynamics of effective oral communication when speaking, listening, and responding. Students will develop basic communication competencies including ethical practices in communication; recognition of communication barriers; and effective use of interpersonal communication, listening, verbal and nonverbal messages, and use of digital media. Listed in this document as Strand 4: Communication Competencies, these life skills will be embedded throughout the course. In Forensics I, students will develop research skills to prepare for a variety of public speaking formats, including debate, public address, and oral interpretation of literature. Furthermore, students will organize research and analysis into presentations delivered in a variety of formats and for a variety of audiences.
