As part of the NATEF accreditation, topics are aligned to the Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) requirements. English language arts are reinforced. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include job shadowing. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include apprenticeship, cooperative education, entrepreneurship, internship, and job shadowing. This course helps prepare students for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR- G1).
