Students are introduced to the basic biology and behaviour of bees; study pollination requirements; receive and install package bees; maintain hive equipment, schedule production season activities and comply with government regulations; manage wildlife, vandals and minimize pesticide damage; safely operate and maintain farm trucks, trailers and accessories; demonstrate a positive attitude toward safety; and demonstrate effective and appropriate employability skills.
